Vivo revolutionized the foldable phone market last year with the introduction of the seamless X Fold 2 model. Continuing their innovation, Vivo is gearing up to unveil two new versions: the X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro. Here are the specifications and unveiling date for the Vivo X Fold 3:
Unveiling Date for Vivo X Fold 3 Revealed
According to leaked information, Vivo will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor in its base model. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor boasts 1x 3.2GHz ARM Cortex-X3 core, 2x 2.8GHz ARM Cortex-A710 cores, 2x 2.8GHz ARM Cortex-A715 cores, and 3x 2.0GHz ARM Cortex-A510 cores.
As for the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro model, it will be introduced with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Fabricated with 4nm technology, this processor includes 1x 3.3 GHz ARM Cortex-X4 core, 3x 3.2 GHz ARM Cortex-A720 cores, 2x 3.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A720 cores, and 2x 2.3 GHz ARM Cortex-A520 cores. The new chipset also integrates the Adreno 750 graphics unit with Ray Tracing support.
These devices are expected to be unveiled in the first quarter of 2024. Renowned analyst Digital Chat Station has indicated that the X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro models will be introduced with Chinese patents.
Another significant change in the devices will be on the display front. Vivo will offer higher screen resolutions in the new models of the series.
It’s anticipated that the devices will feature a triple camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens. Moreover, the battery capacity is expected to be higher than that of the X Fold 2.
