The Vivo X300 Ultra could arrive far sooner than expected, as new leaks suggest the next-generation flagship is already ahead of schedule. With internal development reportedly moving faster than last year’s model, the X300 Ultra may see a global launch just 11 months after the Vivo X200 Ultra first dropped.
Vivo X300 Ultra may break tradition with faster launch cycle

Vivo typically refreshes its Ultra line once a year, but trusted leaker Digital Chat Station now claims the timeline is shifting. According to their post on Weibo, the Vivo X300 Ultra is currently on track for a March 2026 release. That’s barely 11 months after the X200 Ultra arrived in China.
If true, this would mirror Xiaomi’s strategy, as the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is also expected to replace its predecessor within 10 months. Meanwhile, Samsung is reportedly holding off until late February for its Galaxy S25 lineup, giving Vivo and Xiaomi a potential edge on the calendar.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 confirmed for Vivo X300 Ultra
The X300 Ultra will reportedly feature Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip bringing performance in line with the top Android devices of 2026. That puts it in direct competition with Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra and Xiaomi’s upcoming premium models.
While full camera specs haven’t leaked yet, insiders suggest the phone will once again focus on high-end optics. Vivo is likely to pack in three powerful rear sensors, continuing its push for professional-grade mobile photography.
Global availability expected to follow shortly after China launch
The standard Vivo X300 and X300 Pro launched in China on October 14, maintaining a yearly release cadence. But the Ultra appears to be moving at a different pace this time. If the X300 Ultra lands in China by March, a global release could follow not long after possibly targeting early summer.
Here’s what’s expected so far for the X300 Ultra:
- Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset
- Trio of upgraded rear cameras
- Early launch window (March 2026)
- Faster release cycle than the X200 Ultra
- Global rollout potentially closer to launch
Vivo eyes calendar advantage with X300 Ultra
If Vivo pulls this off, it could put pressure on competitors who are still sticking to traditional annual cycles. The X300 Ultra might not only beat rivals to market, it could reshape expectations for flagship timing in 2026.
