Volkswagen states that all ID. Polo versions will come with the Travel Assist system, which provides assisted lateral and longitudinal guidance and assisted lane changes on highways. The system will also be able to recognize traffic lights and stop signs.

ID. The Polo retains its compact exterior dimensions while offering improvements to its interior:

    • Length: 4,053 mm
    • Width: 1,816 mm
    • Height: 1,530 mm
    • Wheelbase: 2,600 mm

VW states that the exterior dimensions are similar to the previous Polo, but the ID. Polo offers an additional 19 mm of interior space, particularly noticeable in the rear. The luggage/cargo capacity is 435 liters, increasing to 1,243 liters when the rear seats are folded down. The vehicle will only be offered in five-seater and four-door versions.

According to Volkswagen, the ID. Polo is currently being tested in many regions worldwide with the aim of “achieving the highest quality and perfection in detail.” The starting price is set at €25,000.

The ID. Polo is expected to launch in Europe in spring 2026, with the GTI version joining the lineup later that year.
