Volkswagen is unveiling a surprising electric SUV concept at the IAA Mobility Show in Munich. Just before the show, Volkswagen design chief Andreas Mindt shared official renderings of this new model on social media. Described as a “close-to-production concept,” this vehicle will be an electric counterpart to the T-Cross in the brand’s product line.
Volkswagen to unveil an affordable electric SUV
Previously known as the “ID. 2all SUV,” the concept is positioned in the B-SUV segment. Despite exaggerated details such as wide fenders and large wheels, the model appears to have an aggressive and dynamic stance.

The front and rear of the vehicle feature the distinctive LED light signature, a familiar feature in Volkswagen’s new-generation electric vehicles. The horizontal grooves in the rear pillar also align with the previously shared silhouette.
This new SUV, like the ID. 1Every and ID. 2all, is built on the MEB Entry platform. The model, expected to be introduced in 2026, will feature a single-engine, front-wheel-drive system. Production will take place at the plant in Pamplona, Spain.
This plant also produces models such as the T-Cross, Taigo, and Skoda Epiq. The ID.2all is expected to go on sale in Germany with a starting price of around €25,000, while the SUV version is expected to cost between €25,000 and €30,000.
