Volvo Trucks has reached a significant milestone by selling more than 5,000 electric trucks worldwide since 2019. The company has demonstrated its effectiveness in sustainable logistics with its wide product range consisting of eight different models.
Volvo exceeds 5,000 units in electric truck sales
Volvo’s sales success was determined by the variety of models developed according to different needs. The FL Electric, FE Electric, FM Electric, FM Low Entry, FMX Electric, FH Electric, FH Aero Electric and VNR Electric models are used in various operations from urban distribution to long-haul transport. These models were in high demand, especially in countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, the USA, Norway and Sweden.

Volvo Trucks, which has held the market leadership in the heavy electric truck segment in Europe for five years, reached a market share of 47 percent on the continent. This rate corresponds to exactly 1,970 registered electric vehicles. Volvo, which has increased its market share to over 40 percent in North America by 2024, has strengthened its presence in the region.
Volvo’s electric vehicle strategy is not limited to current models. The company’s new generation FH Electric model, developed for long-distance transportation, will go on sale this year.
According to the company’s statement, a large portion of existing customers are choosing Volvo again and expanding their fleets. Volvo Trucks President Roger Alm stated that transportation companies are turning to environmentally friendly and economical solutions, and that this situation increases trust in the brand.
