Media giant Warner Bros. has confirmed that it has received “unsolicited offers” for the sale of Discovery. The company has officially announced that it is currently evaluating interest from multiple parties.
All options for a Warner Bros. Discovery sale are on the table.
According to the announcement, the board of directors is reviewing all strategic alternatives. These options include continuing the company’s current separation process, which is scheduled to be completed by mid-2026.

However, a sale of the entire company or separate sales of the Warner Bros. and Discovery Global businesses are also being considered. The company believes the offers represent the value of its portfolios.
WBD Chairman and CEO David Zaslav issued a press release regarding the matter. “After receiving interest from multiple parties, we have begun a comprehensive review of strategic alternatives to determine the best path to unlock the full value of our assets,” Zaslav said.
Past Rumors and Criticism
This isn’t the first rumor that the company is being sold. In the past, there have been several reports of interest, particularly from major players like Sony, but none have materialized. Zaslav’s management has also been the focus of criticism for some time, particularly for its decisions in the gaming division.
