Watch Dogs movie filming has started
Ubisoft announced the start of filming for Watch Dogs in a post on social media. The post, titled “Lights_Camera_Action.exe”, shows a clapperboard and a person working on a computer.
The Watch Dogs movie was first announced at Sony’s GamesCom event in 2016. After nearly eight years of silence, the movie adaptation is finally ready to shoot. Ubisoft has teamed up with New Regency to bring the story of hacker Aiden Pearce to the big screen.
The movie will star Tom Blyth and Sophie Wilde. Blyth, known for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, Blyth has not been involved in any new projects recently. Wilde debuted with the horror movie Talk to Me. The director of the movie will be Mathieu Turi.
The Watch Dogs series has recently caused great controversy. The series, which has three games in total, has been disappointing, especially with its latest production Watch Dogs: Legion was a disappointment. The game, where we could portray every character in the city, could not create the excitement in the trailers.
However, the sequels continue to attract the interest of many users. This shows that the adaptation that will come to the big screen will already arouse curiosity. Rising actors like Wilde can also take the series to the next level.
