Leaks and rumors surrounding Apple’s highly anticipated new flagship series, the iPhone 17 family, continue unabated. According to the latest development that has shaken the tech world, the Cupertino-based giant is preparing to increase the starting prices of the new models by $50. This increase is expected to have a significant impact on end-user prices, especially in countries like Turkey.
The new series, expected to be unveiled on September 9th, will consist of the iPhone 17, 17 Air, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max. If this price increase goes through, the iPhone 17 series could start at $849, $949, $1,049, and $1,249, respectively, compared to the current models.
The iPhone 17 Turkey price will be a huge blow to the pocket
This price increase could have a significant impact on Apple fans in Turkey. While the iPhone 16 Pro currently starts at approximately 89,999 TL in Turkey, the $50 price increase, combined with taxes, is expected to push the iPhone 17 Pro’s starting price in Turkey to over 95,000 TL.
This situation could lead to a striking scenario where, due to exchange rate fluctuations and taxes, the next-generation model will be sold at almost twice the price of its predecessor.

Rumors are circulating that the Pro Max model will start at 110,000 TL. It’s worth noting that there are also price claims of 74,999 TL for the base model and 84,999 TL for the Air model.
In addition to the price increase, the innovations offered by the iPhone 17 family are also dominating the tech conversation. One of the most striking claims is that the iPhone 17 Pro will now come with a minimum of 256 GB of internal storage.
Apple launched the iPhone 16 Pro with 128GB of storage, while the 16 Pro Max model started at 256GB. This move will offer the standard Pro model with a higher storage capacity, allowing users to have more space.
However, the most anticipated addition to the series is an all-new model called the iPhone 17 Air. According to industry sources, this model will be Apple’s thinnest iPhone to date. However, this thinness brings with it a major question mark: battery life. Reportedly, the iPhone 17 Air will only feature a 2,800–2,900 mAh battery.
This capacity, which is significantly below today’s phone standards, raises serious concerns about the device’s longevity in daily use. It remains to be seen how Apple will address this battery issue through software optimizations. Furthermore, a solution could be found with next-generation processors.
While there’s no definitive information regarding the iPhone 17 family, leaks suggest Apple will be making significant changes to both its pricing and product strategy. This new generation, plagued by price hikes and battery concerns, is likely to be the talk of the tech world for a long time to come.
