WhatsApp is working on a new feature that simplifies and makes voice messaging more intuitive for Android users. With this feature, which was tested in the beta version of the app 2.25.15.19, users will now be able to start recording voice messages by tapping the microphone button once.
WhatsApp will improve the voice messaging experience
There were two different methods to record voice messages in the current system. In the first method, the microphone icon can be recorded by holding it down, and the message is automatically sent when the finger is removed.

The second method, lock mode, is activated by swiping up after tapping the microphone icon, allowing long recordings without holding the finger down. The new system combines these two methods to offer a more practical use.
When users now tap the microphone icon once, the recording process automatically starts and lock mode is activated. Thus, there is no need to make any extra movements.
The user interface remains unchanged throughout the recording. When the recording is complete, users have the opportunity to listen to the voice message before sending it and delete it if necessary. This control system prevents messages from being sent by mistake and provides the user with more flexibility.
The new feature will work in the same way in WhatsApp channels as well as individual and group chats. This will enable a consistent voice message experience throughout the messaging process. There is no statement yet on when the feature will be available to all users.
