WhatsApp, with its billions of users spread across the world and presence on almost every smartphone, continues its efforts to enhance the user experience. It has recently been revealed that they are working on the Message Filtering feature. Here are the details about WhatsApp’s Message Filtering feature.
WhatsApp is introducing the Message Filtering feature!
If you actively use WhatsApp, you may have complained about the cluttered nature of your chats and important messages getting lost among the new messages. However, WhatsApp’s new feature provides a solution to this problem.
According to a report published by WABetaInfo, which produces content related to WhatsApp, the company is currently working on the Message Filtering feature. As seen in the screenshot above, there will be options such as “All Messages” “Unread” “Personal” and “Business” at the top of the Chats section. Users will be able to filter their chats through these options.
This feature will greatly facilitate the work of many users, especially those who receive a large number of messages. As mentioned earlier, it will now be possible to easily view the unread messages among dozens of others.
In fact, the Message Filtering feature already existed in WhatsApp. However, it was accessible through the search section and was not considered very user-friendly. Many people were not even aware of this feature. Therefore, we can say that WhatsApp is trying to make the existing Message Filtering feature more practical.
WhatsApp’s new Message Filtering feature was noticed in the Android 2.23.14.17 update. It is currently in the beta stage, undergoing testing. The exact release date or availability for all users is currently unknown. Sometimes WhatsApp can decide not to release new features to users.
Furthermore, WhatsApp recently introduced the new Message Transfer feature, which allows users to transfer all their chats from Android to Android, iOS to iOS, or cross-platform. This feature has pleased many users.
