Samsung’s latest flagship phone series, the S24, unveiled in January, continues to stay in the spotlight with its artificial intelligence and other features since its introduction. Although the phone series is still very new, details about the upcoming S25 series have begun to emerge. According to rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S25 may have a faster processor and DRAM features than the iPhone 16 Pro. Let’s take a look at the emerging rumors together…
Galaxy S25 could be faster than the iPhone 16 Pro with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4
For the first time in years, it’s claimed that Samsung will produce devices faster than Apple’s. While there has long been debate among Samsung and Apple users, reports suggest that Samsung may, for the first time in years, outpace the iPhone 16 series with the S25 series. It is said that the combination of Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and LPDDR6 DRAM will make the S25 series faster than Apple’s offerings.
After the release of LPDDR5 in February 2019, the introduction of LPDDR6 is expected five years later. Although there is no information yet about the speed and other details of the upcoming LPDDR6, it is claimed that LPDDR6, to be produced by Samsung and SK Hynix, will be more efficient and come with lower production costs.
According to emerging reports, LPDDR6 DRAM is expected to be introduced in September 2024. The reason for claiming that the Galaxy S25 will be faster than the iPhone 16 Pro is the expectation that the LPDDR6 technology will be used in phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor.
As every year, it is claimed that Samsung will introduce its S25 series with two different processor options, and models with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor will be available in at least some markets. Additionally, similar to the S24 Ultra model, the Galaxy S25 Ultra may come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor worldwide.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor will feature Qualcomm’s Oryon CPU cores, which are claimed to be faster than those used in Apple’s upcoming A18 Pro processor.
