Microsoft is bringing an important update to the iconic Paint application after a long time. With the new package to be introduced for Windows 11, Paint will receive dark mode support. This will make the application more user-friendly for simple photo editing tasks.

Paint gets dark mode in Windows 11 Microsoft has announced a range of new features for test users in the Dev and Canary versions of Windows 11. As part of the released update, version 11.2304.17.0 of Paint now has a dark mode. Paint can now be used in light/dark mode, adapting to users’ system theme preferences.
In addition to dark mode, the zooming mode of the photo editing application is also changing. While the classic settings are still available, users can now manually control zooming in/out with a new slider. Furthermore, “fit to screen” support has been added, which optimizes zoom levels to fit the screen size.
Microsoft has also updated the buttons of the Paint application. The new boxes will conform to the style of Windows 11. Microsoft stated that it is focused on improving productivity and usability with this update.
The new dark mode and other improvements are currently available to Windows Insider members in the Dev and Canary channels. However, it is important to note that these features will be made available to all Windows 11 users in the near future.
Additionally, Microsoft recently added RAR support to Windows 11. The RAR file format finally receives built-in support in Windows 11. This means you no longer need to download tools like WinRAR.
