Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass service maintains its competitive edge in consoles and continues to offer its users short-term free gaming experiences with its “Free Play Days” event. As part of this week’s event, a total of six different games, including Diablo IV, are available for free throughout the weekend.
Xbox Free Play Days Begin
According to the announcement, Xbox Game Pass Core and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will have free access to PGA Tour 2K25, Rematch, Dungeons 3, Bassmaster Fishing, and Trailmakers until September 29th. Diablo IV is also available to all Xbox users during this period, without a subscription requirement.

The list of free games and their access conditions are as follows:
- Diablo IV: Free for all Xbox users.
- PGA Tour 2K25: Exclusive to Xbox Game Pass Core and Ultimate subscribers.
- Rematch: Exclusive to Xbox Game Pass Core and Ultimate subscribers.
- Dungeons 3: Exclusive to Xbox Game Pass Core and Ultimate subscribers. Bassmaster Fishing: Exclusive to Xbox Game Pass Core and Ultimate subscribers.
- Trailmakers: Exclusive to Xbox Game Pass Core and Ultimate subscribers.
Accessing these free games is simple. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Core subscribers can access and install the games through the Microsoft Store by logging in to their membership. On Xbox consoles, access the games by navigating to the “Free Play Days” section of the Subscriptions section of the Xbox Store.
An important detail is that all progress and downloadable content purchased during this free period will be retained as long as the full game version is purchased at the end of the free period.
