Xbox is offering a wide range of games to Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members this weekend with its Free Play Days event. This special event, which runs from Thursday, December 4th to Sunday, December 7th, offers six different gaming experiences, from hunting and space combat to JRPGs and extreme sports.
Free Play Days Begin
Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members can play Bassmaster Fishing, Everspace 2, Astria Ascending, and Way of the Hunter for free during this period. Bassmaster Fishing, Everspace 2, and Astria Ascending are also Xbox Play Anywhere titles, making them available on both consoles and PC.

Bassmaster Fishing brings the thrill of big bass fishing to venues across the US and invites players to celebrate the 2026 Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Classic on the Tennessee River, one of the game’s featured venues.
Everspace 2, a fast-paced, single-player space shooter set in the Demilitarized Zone, where epic loot is sought, is currently on sale for 70% off. Astria Ascending delivers a mature, emotional JRPG experience, captivating with its hand-drawn 4K visuals, turn-based combat, and extensive customization options. Way of the Hunter promises an authentic hunting experience with realistic animal behavior and complex ecosystems in vast open-world environments.
In addition, Destiny 2’s major expansions, The Witch Queen, Lightfall, and The Final Shape, are available to try for Game Pass members from December 2nd to December 9th. These expansions invite players to explore the mysteries of the Destiny 2 universe, unlock powerful abilities, and experience first-person shooter combat.
Notably, Descenders became free to try for all Xbox members this weekend. An extreme free-riding cycling game with procedurally generated worlds, Descenders offers an experience where mistakes have real consequences.
