Xbox has implemented a significant step that makes the gaming experience smoother and more fluid across platforms. Your play history now appears synced in a single list, regardless of where you play—including Xbox consoles, PCs, and portable devices like the ASUS ROG Ally. This makes it much easier for players to switch between devices and pick up where they left off.
Play History Will Be Synchronized on Xbox
This feature began testing with users in the Xbox Insider program last month. Following feedback, it was quickly rolled out to all players. With this update, games played via the cloud are now also included in this centralized play history.

This means that all games, from original Xbox classics to the latest Xbox Series X|S exclusives—whether purchased or played with an Xbox Game Pass subscription—can be tracked in one place. Players can instantly see their most recently played games, even if they switch devices.
On Xbox consoles, this new play history list can be accessed from the “Play History” box at the bottom of the homepage. The same list is also available in the “Play History” tab of the library in the Xbox PC app.
This centralized list allows players to manage their game libraries, find their most recently played games, and enjoy a seamless experience across devices. This update is part of Microsoft’s vision to make the Xbox ecosystem more integrated.
