In a post on Bluesky, Tom Warren said that Microsoft is finally hitting a good pace with releases on Xbox Game Pass, especially with new games like Indiana Jones and those coming in 2025.
Avowed notes that South of Midnight, Doom, Towerborne, Fable, Outer Worlds 2 and other games are coming out next year and expects an Xbox event in January. It is not known whether this is due to Microsoft’s history of organizing events at the time or internal information.

A few days ago, Windows Central Managing Editor Jez Corden said that Microsoft doesn’t have many announcements planned for The Game Awards due to the Xbox Developer Direct event in the first quarter of 2025.
Last month, Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft’s gaming division, said that the company would not rule out the possibility of any Xbox games coming to rival platforms like PlayStation and Nintendo in the future.
