Microsoft has officially released the last major software update of 2025 for the Xbox ecosystem. The most notable hardware upgrade in this new package is for the Xbox Wireless Headset, which now supports Bluetooth LE Audio.
Xbox gains new features
This technological upgrade minimizes audio latency and significantly extends battery life when running on Windows 11. Sound quality is enhanced, taking the stereo experience to a new level.

Furthermore, the LE Audio feature allows for simultaneous audio sharing between compatible devices. Users must have an up-to-date Windows 11 version and Bluetooth LE-enabled hardware to take advantage of these benefits. Headset owners can install this new software on their hardware via the Xbox My Accessories app.
On mobile platforms, the Xbox app is undergoing a radical structural change. Microsoft has introduced a dedicated Store tab that provides direct access to the app. Through this new section, gamers can now browse the game catalog in detail from their smartphones and add games to their wishlists.
Not only full games, but also expansion packs and downloadable content (DLCs) are now accessible through this new tab. Completing the in-app purchase feature launched last April, this innovation brings content management entirely to mobile devices for console owners. With this move, the company aims to make the flow of the game library smoother while enhancing the user experience through direct digital store integration.
