Ubisoft has unveiled the full patch notes for Season 1 of XDefiant, bringing a host of new features, changes, and fixes to the game. This update introduces new game modes, factions, maps, weapons, and more, enhancing the overall gameplay experience.
Gameplay enhancements for XDefiant
- The expiration timing of activated Boosters has been adjusted to count down only during match time, ensuring they don’t deplete while players are idle.
- The XP threshold for each Battle Pass tier has been lowered to facilitate faster progression.
- Match Bonus XP rewards have been tuned: MVP and Victory rewards reduced from 2,000 to 1,000 XP, Draw rewards from 1,000 to 500 XP, and Completion rewards doubled from 2,000 to 4,000 XP.
- A headshot icon has been added to the Killfeed in response to community feedback.
New faction and adjustments for XDefiant
GSK faction
- XDefiant’s T GSK faction, featuring elite Team Rainbow operators from Germany’s Border Protection Command, has been added. They specialize in crowd control and territory securing with abilities like deploying electrified barbed wire and using the G52-Tactical Shield ultra.
Faction adjustments
- Echelon’s Intel Suit cooldown increased from 30 to 40 seconds.
- Phantoms’ Mag Barrier cooldown increased from 30 to 40 seconds and hit points reduced from 500 to 400. The AEGIS now takes damage from EMP grenades.
- DedSec Hijack cooldown decreased to 20 seconds plus the remaining duration of the hacked skill; failed Hijack cooldown reduced from 8 to 5 seconds.
- DedSec’s Spiderbot cooldown increased from 25 to 40 seconds, and its behavior adjusted to prevent multiple Spiderbots from targeting the same face.
- Libertad’s BioVida Boost cooldown decreased from 25 to 20 seconds.
- Fixed an issue with Libertad’s Medico Supremo disappearing after respawning as a different faction.
New map and game mode
- Clubhouse map: A two-story hangout popular with international operators, ideal for short- to mid-range firefights, and supporting game modes like Domination, Occupy, Hot Shot, and the new Capture the Flag.
- Capture the Flag (CTF): A new game mode where players take the enemy’s flag from their base and return it to their own while protecting their team’s flag. CTF is available on various maps.
Weapon updates
- Improved the hit flinch penalty for sniper rifles, increasing the camera transition speed by 25%, ensuring the camera always kicks upward, and increasing the left or right kick by three times.
- Added the L115 sniper rifle, which offers faster handling than the TAC-50 but deals slightly less damage and is less effective at penetrating cover.
- Added the LVOA-C, a customized rifle with a faster rate of fire than the M4A1, but with increased recoil and less range.
- Added the Sawed Off secondary weapon, a close-range double-barreled shotgun with significant power.
- Introduced new Mastery skins: Titanium Violet (unlocked at Weapon Level 300), Titanium Azure (unlocked at 350), and Titanium Prisma (unlocked at 400).
- Fixed issues with weapons and optics shaking in first-person view while using ADS.
Device improvements
- Updated the visual effect for the flash grenade to be less intense but still disorienting.
- Fixed an exploit allowing players to respawn with multiple devices by manipulating the “Copy Loadout” option.
Social and audio tweaks for XDefiant players
- Introduced the Creator Code program, enabling players to support creators with their XCoin purchases.
- Fixed issues allowing players to create parties with enemy players and voice chat during matches, and disabled whispers in text chat.
- Tweaked the mix of in-game voices and sound effects for better volume and clarity.
Miscellaneous fixes
- Players from the Closed Beta now retain Kersey’s Dungaree skin.
- Resolved Challenge-tracking issues with Ubisoft Connect.
- Implemented various graphical and audio fixes, along with additional crash fixes.
Ahead of its launch on July 2, XDefiant Season 1 promises a wealth of new content and improvements, ensuring an enhanced gaming experience for all players.
