XDefiant is a game that has been in development since its launch. The game’s director Mark Rubin shared some important information about the latest update. With the new XDefiant update, it will be even easier for players to make matches in their own regions.
XDefiant improves regional matchmaking with the latest update
Mark Rubin said on Twitter, “Hello everyone! We made a server change last night and this may increase the likelihood of you matching in your region. If you’re still matchmaking in a different region, please let me know and let me know how long it takes.” This statement indicates that players will have a better matchmaking experience.
One Twitter user, @Kururu2_FPS, noted that in Japan, matchmaking times were taking longer due to the low number of players, especially outside of the evening hours. In response to this, Rubin said that matchmaking times may be longer in some regions and that they are working on the ability for players to select server regions.
Although regional matchmaking was not mentioned in the official patch notes, it was announced that some improvements have been made to match wait times: “Previously, players with a ping of more than 150ms had to wait a long time for a match. By improving the match parameters, ping evaluation will be done more frequently, which will significantly reduce match wait times. Additionally, players with any ping quality can now instantly switch to the Practice Area and resolve ping issues in a healthy way.”
Ubisoft continues to develop XDefiant based on player feedback. Rubin said that the reason the game was made available early access was to gather player feedback and shape the game’s design based on that feedback. Some players may not want to be beta testers for XDefiant. But as Rubin pointed out, if the game is not for you, you may not play it.
