Every fall, excitement builds in the Android market. Xiaomi will launch the Xiaomi 16 series at an event in the coming months, but this year may be different. Rumors suggest three models will be unveiled at this year’s event. Here are the details.
The Xiaomi 16 series will come with faster charging
Xiaomi, which will announce its new flagship at an event in China in the coming months, may unveil three different models simultaneously this year, unlike the previous year when it typically introduces two devices. Rumors suggest three new flagships will be unveiled this year: the Xiaomi 16, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max.

It has been revealed that all three models, certified for sale in China, will support 100W wired charging. This represents a small but significant increase over the 90W charging found on last year’s Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro. This will allow devices to charge faster.
Rumors suggest that all phones in the series will be powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, which will be unveiled at the end of September. Xiaomi is expected to be the first brand to use this new chip, and the launch could take place in late September, just a few days after the Qualcomm event.
A global launch is likely next year, but it’s still unclear which of these three models will be available outside of China. It’s also unclear whether an Ultra model will be available if the Pro Max is introduced.
