The Xiaomi 17 Ultra just took one big step toward international shelves. A new FCC filing confirms the flagship is not only real but also heading beyond China. While Xiaomi hasn’t made it official yet, all signs now point to a global release in early 2026.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra joins the flagship ranks

Xiaomi’s 17 series launched in September 2025 with three models: the base 17, the 17 Pro, and the 17 Pro Max. All three shipped exclusively in China. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra, however, appears to be next and it won’t stay locked to a single region for long.
The global variant just popped up in the FCC database under model number 2512BPNDAG. Not long ago, the Chinese version with a similar ID passed 3C certification. Add in an earlier IMEI listing, and this Ultra is no longer a secret.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra specs tipped in latest filings
According to the FCC documents, the phone will ship with HyperOS 3, Xiaomi’s latest custom operating system. The filing also confirms support for:
- 5G connectivity
- Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be)
- Bluetooth Low Energy
No surprises there, but it does help paint a clearer picture of what to expect from Xiaomi’s next global flagship.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra rumored to pack monster battery and camera
Internally, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is rumored to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite chip, making it one of the most powerful Android phones of 2026. Battery capacity is expected to reach 7,000mAh, with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging support.
But the real highlight might be the camera. Leaks suggest Xiaomi will equip the Ultra with a Leica-tuned setup, possibly featuring a massive 1-inch sensor for the main camera. If true, that puts it in serious competition with devices like the Galaxy S26 Ultra and Vivo X100 Pro+.
When is the Xiaomi 17 Ultra launching?
Nothing’s official, but reports point to a late December 2025 launch in China, followed by a global release in January 2026. With the FCC filing out in the open, it’s clear Xiaomi is gearing up for an international rollout.
Ultra ambition, global reach
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra looks poised to become the brand’s most advanced phone to date. Between top-tier specs, a potential battery beast, and Leica camera chops, Xiaomi isn’t just playing catch-up; it’s pushing into territory usually dominated by Samsung and Apple.
