Xiaomi and Leica will now produce more powerful cameras!
We have been seeing the Leica signature in the camera group of Xiaomi models for a long time. Leica, which produces for the Chinese technology giant, will now start production together with the Chinese technology giant. The companies, which will establish three large laboratories in Beijing, China, that will operate in the fields of camera equipment, imaging and objective-subjective image quality evaluation, aim to move mobile photography forward.
Companies aiming to design ultra-precise optics in a compact form factor and achieve ideal performance in photography will appoint Peter Karbe, who is involved in Leica premium lens design, as the optics expert of the institute to be established. The institute, where Xiaomi’s senior executives will also take part, will take future Xiaomi models to a whole new level.
The freshest example of this is Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which comes with a 1-inch camera, has four 50 Megapixel cameras on the back. Sharing the images taken with the 14 Ultra today, Xiaomi seems to aim to announce the result of the partnership of the two companies to the whole world before the launch.
Xiaomi just announced today that the optical institute will be established. However, it is not known when the first product of this partnership will appear. What do you think about the decision made by Xiaomi and Leica? We welcome your opinions in the comments.
