Xiaomi has introduced its new headphone model, the Bone Conduction Headphones 2, equipped with bone conduction technology. Designed for underwater use, the product stands out with its special swimming mode and standalone music playback feature, specifically targeting professional and amateur swimmers.
Xiaomi has introduced its headphones with swimming mode.
The new model’s standout feature, in addition to its waterproof design, is its ability to transmit sound through bones. Xiaomi claims that by optimizing this technology for underwater use, it delivers a clearer and more balanced sound experience than many competitors. The headphones enable both entertainment and workout tracking while swimming.

The device integrates with Suunto swimming algorithms. This integration gives users access to professional-level swimming data. Training performance can be analyzed more accurately with measurements such as heart rate, pace, and stroke tracking.
Thanks to its internal memory, the Bone Conduction Headphones 2 can play music without a Bluetooth connection. Users can download playlists directly to the headphones, making them particularly convenient to use underwater without being connected to a phone or other device.
The new model is available for pre-order in China for 699 yuan, or about $100. Xiaomi first entered the bone conduction headphone segment in 2022. The first model was designed for general sports activities and featured a 12-hour battery life and a USB-C charging port. The new model expands the range with functional features specifically focused on swimming.
