Xiaomi bids farewell to POCO! Here are the details…
One of Xiaomi’s strongest sub-brands, POCO, has officially shut down its dedicated website. The decision, first announced in October 2024, became effective in 2025. As of now, all POCO products are being sold through Xiaomi’s official website. Here’s what you need to know…
POCO’s website and apps are no longer active
With this strategic move, Xiaomi aims to better integrate POCO into its digital ecosystem and enhance the user experience. New models, such as the Poco X7 and Poco X7 Pro, will be available for purchase on Xiaomi’s mi.com website starting January 9, 2025. This suggests that Xiaomi may now treat POCO not as a sub-brand but as a product line under its umbrella, leveraging the popularity of the name.
All global and regional POCO websites have been shut down. Websites for countries such as the UK, France, and Germany now redirect to the Xiaomi Store. Additionally, the POCO Store app has been discontinued. Personal data can be downloaded from Xiaomi account settings for a limited time, in compliance with relevant regulations.
Following the closure announcement, POCO confirmed that all warranty and after-sales services will now be handled by Xiaomi. While POCO was presented as an independent brand, it was never fully autonomous. This decision aligns with Xiaomi’s strategy to unify its online and offline sales channels, increasing operational efficiency.
