Xiaomi is taking an exciting step into mobile gaming. The company has announced a new Xiaomi PC emulator feature that will run Steam games on phones. This feature will be available to users with an update to the Xiaomi Game Center app. It will now be possible to play select games from the Steam library.
How will the new Xiaomi Steam games work?
This feature is based on Xiaomi’s in-house developed engine, the “Winplay Engine.” Emulator support is being tested first on the Redmi K90 model. Thanks to this new infrastructure, users will be able to experience Steam games directly on their phones.

The first games included in the testing phase have been announced. Users currently have access to Hollow Knight, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and Stardew Valley. Xiaomi stated that the game catalog will expand in the future. However, the company emphasized that the emulator is still in alpha, so some gameplay errors may occur.
While emulator support is currently limited to certain models, the Game Center update also includes other improvements. Features like the new achievement system, improved cloud syncing, and popular gamepad support are available for all compatible Xiaomi devices. On-screen controls have also been improved.
