Xiaomi has begun rolling out the Android 16 update.
Users can download the update from their device’s settings menu. Alternatively, the MemeOS Enhancer app, available for download from the Google Play Store, is available for those who want more control over the installation process.

The update comes in regionally tailored builds for devices. Xiaomi stated that regional builds provide better performance, compatibility, and stability. The updated models and build numbers are as follows:
The global version of the Xiaomi 15 is receiving OS 2.0.218.0.WOCMIXM. The European version of the same model is being updated with OS 2.0.218.0.WOCEUXM. The global version of the Xiaomi 14T Pro is receiving OS2.0.216.0.WNNMIXM, while the European version is receiving OS2.0.215.0.WNNEUXM. All versions are based on Android 16 and combine the latest software components from Google and Xiaomi.
The new version not only upgrades the Android version, but also includes the July 2025 security patch. This ensures that the devices operate with the latest security measures. Changes to the system architecture improve device responsiveness, increase data protection, and improve overall system stability. These changes contribute to smoother daily use.
Xiaomi recommends users back up their data before updating. It is noted that some devices may experience short-term instability after the update as the system adapts to the new version.
This situation is expected to normalize within a day or two. It was also stated that some third-party apps may be incompatible with the new version, but developers will release compatible versions shortly.
