Xiaomi has officially begun global distribution of its latest Android 16-based interface, HyperOS 3. This major update, which promises “cleaner design, better performance, and tighter device integration across the ecosystem,” is being rolled out first to the Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro models. Here are the details.
Flagships Left Behind: 15T Pro Becomes First Test Group
Xiaomi confirmed on October 25th via its official X (formerly Twitter) account that these mid-range and high-end models will be the first to receive the latest operating system. In an interesting move, the mid-range 15T series will be the first to receive the new operating system, rather than Xiaomi’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset-powered Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra models. The 15T Pro, powered by the Dimensity 9400+, will effectively lead the first test group for this advanced platform in the global market.

The initial releases are available as OTA (over-the-air) updates, OS3.0.3.0.WOEEUXM for the 15T and OS3.0.4.0.WOSEUXM for the 15T Pro, and include the October security patch. The rollout is starting in Europe, with other regions expected to follow soon. Users can check for the update in Settings > About Phone > System Update.
Xiaomi has outlined a phased rollout roadmap for HyperOS 3. The Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra flagships, as well as the Redmi Note 14 and Poco F7/X7 series, will receive the update in November. The Xiaomi 14, Poco F6, and other 2024 models will receive the update in late November and early December.
HyperOS 3 introduces a number of innovations that will enrich the user experience. A new “Hyper Island” quick menu is introduced for media, navigation, and notifications. This feature, which offers a dynamic notification center similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island, aims to increase functionality. Lower CPU load and faster app launch times are promised.
Advanced cross-device syncing and connectivity capabilities are available across phones, tablets, and wearables.
