Xiaomi has introduced a new home appliance for daily use. The microwave oven, introduced as “Mijia 20L Energy-Saving Microwave”, draws attention with its simple design, practical use and affordable price. The device was launched in China for approximately $48.

Instead of the complicated buttons and digital displays in traditional microwaves; the new model offers a simpler user experience. There are no levers or buttons on the front cover. Instead, a pressure-sensitive flat surface design was preferred. All controls consist of only two rotary knobs: one is used for time setting, the other for power level.

The oven works with a new generation magnetron technology with 700W power. Thanks to this, it can heat a glass of milk or small portions of food in just one minute. The timer can be set for up to 35 minutes, which is more than enough for many foods.

The device, which has an internal volume of 20 liters, has a removable glass rotating plate. The nano coating used on its inner surface also makes cleaning easier. In addition, the 3D reflection heating system in the device ensures that every point of the food is heated evenly.

There are a total of five different power levels in the Mijia microwave oven. A special mode is also offered that defrosts the food without damaging its texture and preserving its nutritional value. The device, which is at the second level according to China’s national standards in terms of energy efficiency, offers a balanced structure between performance and electricity consumption.
