Xiaomi is on its way to global 15: Crossed the important threshold!
After debuting in China this October, the Xiaomi 15 is gearing up for its global journey. Although there has been no official announcement regarding the global release date, recent developments suggest that users may not have to wait too long.
Xiaomi 15 Gets NBTC Certification for Global Market
The Xiaomi 15, listed with the model number 24129PN74G, has appeared in the NBTC database. According to the listing, the device supports GSM, WCDMA, LTE, and NR connectivity. While technical details remain scarce, it’s worth noting that the smartphone recently received FCC certification, confirming that it will be available in 12GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage variants.
Upon examining the storage and RAM options, it becomes evident that the global version of the Xiaomi 15 will lack a key feature. The 16GB RAM and 1TB storage variant available in China will not be offered globally. This means users outside China won’t have access to the most premium configuration.
The Xiaomi 15’s presence in the FCC database further supports the notion of an imminent launch. While Xiaomi typically holds global flagship unveiling events in February or March, the recent wave of certifications has led to speculation about an earlier launch. However, it’s best to wait for an official announcement from the company.
