Xiaomi has expanded the reach of its latest Android custom interface, HyperOS 3, to include three-year-old flagship devices and even some older mid-range and budget-segment smartphones.
What’s New with HyperOS 3
Xiaomi CEO and Founder Lei Jun announced that the HyperOS 3 platform will be coming to more older smartphones. Currently, the stable version of the major software upgrade has reached the brand’s flagship models from three years ago. Mid-range and budget-segment models of Redmi’s popular Note series are also receiving this significant update.

According to official notes, HyperOS 3, the latest Android custom interface, brings a new look, user interface improvements, and much more. Research results indicate that the key features of HyperOS 3 include:
Performance Improvements: Improved battery life and energy efficiency, increased speed and system stability.
Renewed Design: Simpler, more modern, and fluid design lines, improved animations, and a new control center. Ecosystem Integration: Stronger connectivity between Xiaomi devices and seamless synchronization with smart devices (HyperConnect Technology).
AI Features: AI-powered personalization, AI-powered photo search in the Gallery, and AI Cinematic Lock Screen.
Currently, HyperOS 3 is being rolled out gradually to a small group of devices so that Xiaomi can identify and fix major issues early. Some of the models officially confirmed to receive the update and whose rollout has begun are:

Xiaomi also confirmed that HyperOS 3 is currently in the internal testing phase for global models. Therefore, a wider global rollout is expected to begin soon.
