Technology giant Xiaomi made a big breakthrough with its electric sedan model Xiaomi SU7, which was introduced in December 2023. Shortly after it was put on sale, the SU7, which had a wide resonance in the automotive industry, quickly spread on the streets of China and reached thousands of users. According to the latest information, Xiaomi recalled thousands of Xiaomi SU7 models. And why?
Xiaomi announced a recall for 30 thousand SU7
Xiaomi announced that it will recall 30,931 SU7 electric sedan models. According to the company’s statement, the main reason for this recall, which covers vehicles produced between 6 February 2024 and 26 November 2024, is a software bug detected in the autonomous parking system of the cars.

This error causes the detection system to not work properly during parking, causing the vehicle to fail to correctly detect surrounding objects. As a result, it is stated that vehicles may cause unwanted accidents such as hitting other cars during parking. Xiaomi first noticed the error on 14 November 2024 with a customer complaint.
Xiaomi SU7 features are listed as follows;
- Battery: 73.6 kWh BYD LFP Blade
