Xiaomi’s security camera lineup has been updated with the Xiaomi Smart Camera 4 Dual-Camera Edition. The company offers users a more advanced security solution using dual sensors and dual lenses. This new model opens a new chapter in home security with its dual-screen monitoring feature.
Smart Camera 4 now features dual sensors
The updated Smart Camera 4 comes with two 5MP sensors and can record video at a resolution of 2960×1666 pixels. Its 5-layer optical lens design and wide f/1.6 aperture deliver clearer and more detailed images. The camera provides uninterrupted monitoring with a frame rate of 20fps.
The device offers a 360-degree horizontal and 90-degree vertical viewing angle thanks to its 152-degree fixed wide-angle lens and movable PTZ lens. Both lenses operate simultaneously, eliminating blind spots and allowing users to monitor in real time on dual screens. When the fixed lens detects movement, the PTZ lens automatically focuses on that movement.
In addition to night vision, the 940nm infrared sensor can capture black-and-white images up to 10 meters away, even in pitch darkness. The camera’s AI processor, offering 1 TOPS performance, can perform numerous AI operations on the device.
Using Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, the camera can record to a memory card up to 256GB or to cloud storage. The Xiaomi Smart Camera 4 Dual-Camera Edition is available for $42.
