Xiaomi has raised its electric vehicle delivery target for 2025. The company, which previously planned to deliver 300 thousand vehicles, has increased this figure to exactly 350 thousand units. Xiaomi, which is trying to increase its production capacity due to the high demand for its electric sedan model SU7, continues its work at its Beijing factory without slowing down.
Xiaomi steps on the gas in electric vehicle production
The company delivered more than its targets in 2024. According to the statement made in February, Xiaomi delivered its 200 thousandth vehicle in total. While the first 100 thousand vehicles were delivered in 229 days, the delivery of the second 100 thousand vehicles was completed in just 119 days. It is stated that customers who want to take delivery of a new vehicle have to wait at least 30 weeks due to the increasing demand.

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun aims to increase its production capacity in order to meet the high demand. The company’s factory in Beijing currently has the capacity to produce 150 thousand vehicles per year. Work has begun to increase production at this factory. The second phase construction, which started in July last year, is expected to increase capacity significantly when it is completed.
The company’s efforts to increase production capacity will not be limited to the SU7 model alone. Xiaomi introduced the SU7 Ultra model with 1,548 horsepower in February. We also expect the electric SUV model YU7 to be offered for sale this year.
