Xiaomi Unveils Skynomad N70 Max With Record-Breaking SUV Range

Xiaomi has officially unveiled the interior design and technical specifications of its latest SUV, the Skynomad N70 Max, marking a significant expansion of the company’s automotive portfolio. Following the success of its SU7 and YU7 models, Xiaomi is now targeting the extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) market with this highly anticipated SUV. Initially introduced with a pre-sale price point of approximately $38,200, the Skynomad N70 Max combines a luxury-oriented cabin with industry-leading efficiency. By integrating its expertise in consumer electronics and smart software, the manufacturer aims to redefine performance standards in the competitive SUV segment while offering a record-breaking electric-only range.
- The Skynomad N70 Max features an industry-leading 505 km pure electric range on a single charge.
- Total driving range reaches 1,461 kilometers with the assistance of the internal combustion generator.
- The vehicle utilizes a 4 nm processor and 700 TOPS computing power to support advanced autonomous driving systems.
Interior Design Focuses on Maximum Passenger Comfort
The Skynomad N70 Max is engineered as a smart, variable-space SUV designed to prioritize passenger comfort. Spanning 4,960 mm in length and 1,998 mm in width, the vehicle provides a generous 2,950 mm wheelbase that significantly enhances interior roominess. A standout feature for rear-seat passengers is the adjustable legroom, which can extend up to 1,410 mm when the second-row seats are moved back. Additionally, the interior versatility is further emphasized by a flat-folding rear seat configuration, which expands the total cargo capacity to an impressive 2,425 liters.
The vehicle establishes a new benchmark for interior space and modularity within the EREV segment.
Autonomous Systems Ensure Advanced Driving Safety
Xiaomi has leveraged its deep experience in software development to equip the SUV with a sophisticated suite of autonomous driving technologies. At the heart of the system lies a 4 nm chip capable of 700 TOPS of processing power, ensuring rapid data analysis for real-time decision-making.
The safety architecture is supported by a robust array of sensors, including a front-mounted LiDAR unit and a 4D millimeter-wave radar. Beyond software, the vehicle’s structural integrity is reinforced by 14 critical steel points with a durability rating of 2,200 MPa. Standard safety features also include nine airbags and a triple-redundant door handle system, demonstrating the company’s commitment to passenger security.
Performance Capabilities Redefine Range Expectations
The Skynomad N70 Max sets a new standard for the EREV category through its innovative powertrain. The vehicle is equipped with a 76 kWh NMC battery that enables a 505 km range in pure electric mode, which currently stands as the highest in its class.
The total combined driving range of 1,461 kilometers provides unparalleled freedom for long-distance travel.
When the generator is active, the SUV maintains a fuel consumption rate of 6.1 liters per 100 kilometers. The dual-motor, all-wheel-drive system delivers a total output of 416 horsepower, allowing for a top speed of 190 km/h. By balancing luxury, high-tech features, and competitive pricing, Xiaomi is poised to disrupt the current SUV market landscape significantly.
