Xiaomi has completed its preparations for the launch event to be held on October 29. The company’s founder and CEO Lei Jun made statements on social media about some of the products to be introduced at the event. CEO Jun made important statements for the Xiaomi 15 series.
Jun announced that 16 new products from Xiaomi’s ecosystem covering smartphones, tablets, wearable technology, smart home appliances and more will be introduced. Featured products include the Xiaomi 15 series, HyperOS 2.0, Mi Pad 7 series tablets, Mi Watch S4 smartwatch and Mi Band 9 Pro wristband.
On the smartphone front, CEO Jun confirmed that the Xiaomi 15 series will come with a minimum of 12GB RAM. Although no exact pricing was announced, CEO Jun said that a price increase is inevitable. In this context, he stated that Xiaomi 15 will achieve a price/performance balance compared to its competitors.
The screens used in the Xiaomi 15 series will also be remarkable. CEO Jun stated that they used a special M9 material and double micro-gap structure to reduce power consumption while increasing brightness. This will allow the phones to reach 2K resolution with less power than 1.5K displays.
On the other hand, Xiaomi shared that they are working to reach October sales of 20 thousand units for the SU7. However, official delivery figures will be announced on November 1.
