Xiaomi has accelerated its work for the Civi 4, which it plans to launch in the coming months. The latest information from China revealed that the smartphone will support satellite communication. So what does Xiaomi Civi 4 promise?
Xiaomi Civi 4 will be released in May
Xiaomi has received approval from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to add satellite connectivity support to the Civi 4. According to the ministry’s reports, the device, coded 24031PN0DC, has been granted access to the satellite network. The certification documents list it as a “satellite mobile terminal”, indicating that it can connect to satellites.
With this feature, Civi 4 will be able to provide basic communication services even in areas without cellular network coverage. Instead of connecting to cell towers, it will be able to communicate with satellites in low earth orbit. Satellite connectivity is important for emergencies or for users living in rural areas.
Considering that Xiaomi Civi 3 comes with Dimensity 8200 Ultra, we can say that Civi 4 is likely to come with Dimensity 8300 Ultra. Moreover, the device will feature an OLED panel with 120 Hz refresh rate and 240 Hz refresh rate.
The main rear camera of the model will consist of the OmniVision sensor, which has not yet been named. These are the technical details about the device for now. Finally, according to the claims, it will be presented to users in May.
