BYD’s luxury car brand Yangwang is preparing to launch its new flagship U7 model. The U7, which opened for pre-order in November 2024, attracts attention especially with its DiSus-Z suspension system and performance exceeding 1,000 horsepower.

According to Yangwang, the DiSus-Z suspension system allows the vehicle to offer exceptional comfort even on rough roads. The brand had conducted a special test to demonstrate the precision of the system.
In the test, a player successfully removed a ball from the labyrinth on the roof by controlling the suspension of the vehicle via the phone. This result successfully demonstrated that the system makes adjustments within milliseconds to keep the vehicle in balance.

The performance features of the U7 are also quite impressive. The vehicle can reach over 1,000 horsepower using BYD’s advanced e4 technology. Measuring 5,265 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width and 1,517 mm in height, the saloon offers a spacious interior with a wheelbase of 3,160 mm. In addition, thanks to its aerodynamic design, it has a drag coefficient of 0.195 Cd, making it the world’s lowest air resistance series production sedan.
The electric version of the U7, which will be offered for sale in two different versions, fully electric (BEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV), has a 135.5 kWh capacity Blade battery and offers a CLTC range of 720 km. The vehicle offers fast charging support up to 500 kW via two charging ports at the same time and can fill its battery from 30 per cent to 80 per cent in just 20 minutes.
Yangwang introduced the U7 at the 2024 Beijing Motor Show. Although the pre-order process started in November 2024, the official sales price of the vehicle has not yet been announced. However, those who want to order must make a deposit of $ 2,770.
The Yangwang brand, which BYD developed to strengthen its position in the ultra-luxury segment, had previously attracted attention with the U8 off-road SUV and U9 supercar models. With the U7, the brand is expected to further strengthen its claim in the luxury sedan segment.
