Instagram has decided to add a comments section to Stories to increase user interaction. Accordingly, similar to posts, it will be possible to leave comments on Stories and see other users’ comments.
How to leave comments on Instagram Stories?
The feature announced by the social media giant in the past hours allows users to leave comments on Stories that can be seen by everyone. These comments will appear as a drop-down menu at the bottom of the Story. It will provide a space for discussion without disrupting the appearance of the content.
Beyond direct messaging, this move will change the way people interact with Stories. Accordingly, users will be able to express their opinions, especially on posts from influential accounts. Instagram said it will “encourage a more open dialog” by adding a comment section to Stories.
Microsoft is the latest company to criticize Apple App Store commissions. The technology giant opposes 30 percent commissions.
Instagram executive Adam Mosseri said the platform has seen significant growth in Story views and direct messages compared to standard posts. The comments section will also make Stories more interactive.
Of course, the Story owner can disable comments. Similar to posts, they will also have the right to restrict Story comments and delete shared comments.
While the feature is officially rolling out, it is still in its early stages. Therefore, it may take a few weeks before it appears on all users.
Instagram also announced a few new features. New fonts, text animations and effects in reels and stories are now available on the platform. Also, text and stickers can be added to photos and Instagram scrolling posts.
