Nothing unveiled its first open-ear wireless headphones called Ear (open). With a $149 price tag, Ear (open) draws attention with its design that does not fit snugly into the ear canal and allows environmental sounds to be heard.
Nothing Ear (open)
Aiming for a more comfortable experience than standard headphones, Ear (open) is especially ideal for use where environmental awareness is important. It will allow you to enjoy music while cycling, running or walking in crowded environments.
Ear (open) promises powerful audio performance with 14.2 mm drivers, which are found in every pair of headphones. Nothing says these drivers are designed to deliver high-quality sound while minimizing leakage. There are also two microphones and advanced noise cancellation technology (Clear Voice Technology 3.0).
Ear (open) supports Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and supports AAC and SBC codecs. It can connect to two devices at the same time and has the ability to quickly switch between devices. For gamers, there is a Low Latency Mode that automatically activates when used with Nothing Phone.
Weighing just 8.1 grams, the headphones are held in place with a three-point balancing system and silicone hooks. Offering up to 8 hours of music listening, Ear (open) promises a total of up to 30 hours of use with the charging case. It is also possible to get 2 hours of usage time with 10 minutes of fast charging.
Pre-orders for Nothing Ear (open) will start on September 24 and will be available worldwide on October 1. Let us remind you that pricing starts at 149 dollars.
