YouTube is preparing to reintroduce its more affordable subscription service, YouTube Premium Lite. Previously tested for two years and later discontinued, this subscription plan will be made available again in select countries.
What does YouTube Premium Lite offer?
According to recent reports, YouTube Premium Lite will be launched in the United States, Australia, Germany, and Thailand. This subscription plan mainly targets users who focus on non-music video content.
A YouTube spokesperson stated that the Premium Lite subscription will provide an ad-free viewing experience for most videos. However, ads will still be shown on music content and Shorts videos. While the price of Premium Lite has not been officially announced, it is expected to be offered at half the cost of the current YouTube Premium subscription.

Features of YouTube Premium Lite:

- No ad-free listening on YouTube Music.

YouTube Premium Lite will not be entirely ad-free, but the ads shown will be limited and designed to be less intrusive. The exact launch date and availability in different countries have yet to be confirmed.
