Google has announced a new system to optimize YouTube’s ads placements and make them smarter. The update will reduce the number of intrusive ads shown at the most critical moments of videos. YouTube will show ads during transitional moments or in-between conversations when the viewer’s attention level naturally drops. Here are the details…
YouTube is optimizing ad placement: Ads will be less intrusive!
The new system will minimize ad interruptions in the middle of sentences or during action-packed scenes. YouTube creators will be able to manually select ad break points or let YouTube’s algorithm determine the most appropriate locations. Creators will also be able to use a hybrid approach, choosing certain breakpoints themselves and leaving others to the algorithm.

YouTube will reportedly add automatic interruptions to content that previously only had manual ad placement, especially for older videos. However, creators will also have the option to disable this feature. According to YouTube’s research, the hybrid ad placement method provides an average 5% increase in ad revenue for creators.
However, it was announced by Google that the new update, which will give users a breath of fresh air, will take effect as of May 12. What do you think about this? Do you think YouTube’s new ad strategy will improve the viewer experience? Or are you thinking of switching to YouTube Perimum to get rid of the ad problem?
