Zoom is working on a new update that will pave the way for crowded events. The new disposable webinars introduced by Zoom can be followed by up to 1 million participants. With these seminars, Zoom plans to host broadcasts of especially large companies.
Zoom will support webinars for up to 1 million participants
The new update announced for webinars will enable companies to engage with large audiences through Zoom. Organizers will be able to host webinars of up to 30 hours and receive up to 1 million participants.
Zoom said it will also take new steps in the security of broadcasts of this scale. In this context, it stated that it will restrict audio/video to only the presenters. In other words, the list of participants and speakers will only be visible to the broadcaster.
Broadcasting features like polls now support millions of participants. Zoom will provide dedicated production experts for technical support for webinars with over 250,000 participants. These experts will help companies prepare smooth broadcasts.
Currently, Microsoft Teams supports the highest number of participants with a thousand people. But Zoom’s new webinar update will surpass Teams. This suggests that it will remain competitive in virtual events.
The company also recently introduced a feature called Zoom Docs. Zoom Docs is available for free and paid subscribers at no additional cost. Free users can create 10 shared documents and unlimited personal documents without AI Companion.
