The portable handheld console market has been growing in recent years. Following companies like MSI, ASUS and Lenovo, Zotac has now introduced its own console. Zotac Zone was unveiled at the announcement made within the scope of Computex 2024. So how does Zone differ from other consoles in the market?
What does Zotac Zone offer?
Zotac Zone comes with a 7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with 800 nits peak brightness. It’s one of the few handheld consoles to use an OLED display, like Steam Deck. The device is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 8840U processor and a Radeon 780M integrated GPU. On the memory side, it comes with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM.
It is possible to say that it is similar to Steam Deck in terms of design. It features dual analog sticks in DualSense style layout. Around each stick is a customizable digital dial for additional inputs.
It also has twin trackpads like Steam Deck, as well as Hall-effect joysticks with two-stage triggers and drag resistance. It runs on Windows 11 and supports all Windows games.
Other important features include a Windows Hello camera, USB Type-C ports on the top and bottom, and a kickstand. The 48.5Wh battery is relatively small compared to competitors.
The Zotac Zone price, which will be released in September, is set at 800 dollars. It remains unclear whether it will come to our country.
