Dacia is preparing to announce another important version of the Sandero, one of the most popular models in Europe. The company’s CEO Denis Le Vot announced that a full Hybrid version of the Sandero is on the way. It is stated that the new model will come with the 140 horsepower full hybrid engine used in the Renault Jogger. Details in our news…
140 hp full hybrid Dacia Sandero could be introduced in 2025
The hybrid engine of the Dacia Sandero actually combines a 1.6-liter atmospheric gasoline engine (90 horsepower) developed by the Renault Group with two electric motors. One of these electric motors has 50 horsepower, while the other acts as a high-voltage starter/generator. In total, this combination delivers 140 horsepower.
- Battery capacity: 1.2 kWh
- Transmission: Multimode transmission developed by Renault specifically for hybrid models
Judging by the engine, we can say that it will offer lower fuel consumption and higher performance. Although Denis Le Vot did not give any precise information about the hybrid version’s release date, it is thought that the new engine option could be introduced with a facelift in 2025.
In short, while Sandero is expected to switch to a fully electric generation in 2027, we can say that the hybrid model will be an important step in the transition to this process. Although no price announcement has been made yet, the Full Hybrid version is expected to be in the upper segment of Sandero’s current models. Currently, the Dacia Sandero is on sale in Italy with prices starting from 13,850 euros.
