The Resident Evil series has made a big impact around the world with its successful remake projects. Capcom even managed to be nominated for the Game Awards, especially with the Resident Evil 4 remake. Accordingly, the Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil Code Veronica remake projects, which are more than 20 years old, have been commissioned.
Resident Evil Zero and Code Veronica are getting remakes
According to leaks from Capcom, Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil Code Veronica remakes are in the works. However, these games will not be as big as the Resident Evil 4 remake. Sources said that new projects are not allocated as much money as RE4.
According to the latest leaks, Capcom is not aiming for the same level of RE Zero and Code Veronica remakes as RE4. It was stated that these games will not be completely redone like RE4 and will be updated according to the demands of the users.
On the other hand, sources also confirmed that RE Zero and Code Veronica are being actively developed by Capcom. A Resident Evil 5 remake is also in development. Rumors that the source code was lost due to a tsunami in Japan in 2011 were denied.
Sources also denied claims that Resident Evil 9 is in development. They said that Capcom continues to work on the core games of the Resident Evil series and that RE4 Remake will remain the biggest project in recent times.
