DJI introduced its new model to heat up the competition in the small drone market. The DJI Neo drone, which was unveiled at IFA 2024, attracts attention with its palm size and 4K shooting feature. Here are the details.
What does DJI Neo offer?
Neo, which costs only 199 dollars, will compete with models such as HoverAir X1. Although it is cheaper than the X1 in terms of pricing, it retains many premium features. Designed to appeal to basic users, Neo makes it possible to take aerial selfies and videos with just the push of a button.
It can perform automatic flight maneuvers such as orbiting, tracking and hovering without any flight experience. When paired with DJI’s remote control, it gains a transmission range of up to 8 km. It can also be controlled from the phone app.
Neo, which can shoot 30fps video in 4K resolution; It includes a 1/2-inch image sensor and mechanical stabilization. In this context, it seems to take the video quality of its rival X1 to the next level. It also has a flight time of up to 18 minutes.
DJI, the leader in the drone market, had lagged behind in small-sized models. However, with its attractive price of 199 dollars, Neo seems to give DJI an important competition in the developing “selfie drone” field.
Of course, this model will be sold in Europe and the US market in the first stage. It is not known for now when it will come to our country and how its pricing will be.
