The 2025 model Song PLUS DM-i is largely similar to the current model in terms of its exterior design. However, there is a noticeable change in the vehicle: The “BUILD YOUR DREAMS” text on the back has been shortened to “BYD”.
The vehicle has a length of 4775 mm, a width of 1890 mm and a height of 1670 mm. The wheelbase is 2765 mm. With these dimensions, the vehicle is in the compact SUV segment. 2025 model BYD Song PLUS DM-i uses fifth generation DM hybrid technology.
The vehicle has a 1.5 liter engine and a 160 kW electric motor. Compared to the current model, engine power has been reduced by 7 kW, but electric motor power has been increased by 15 kW. The vehicle has two different battery options: 18.3 kWh and 26.6 kWh phosphate lithium battery.
With these batteries, the WLTC electric range of the vehicle has been increased to 91 km and 128 km respectively. Fuel consumption is stated as 4.95L/100 km and 4.98L/100 km. According to previously leaked information, the ex-dealer price of the 2025 model Song PLUS DM-i will start at approximately 20 thousand dollars. The new model is expected to be first in the Chinese market and then expand to various European countries.
