Huawei’s new flagship P70 series has been on the agenda with leaks for a while. It was said that the company, which allegedly had problems with production in China, could postpone the launch. However, the latest reports revealed that the Huawei P70 series could be released in April.
Huawei P70 series could be introduced in April
Supply chain sources from China say that bulk parts shipments for the P70 series have started. This indicates that the launch event is getting closer. Various investment firms and research analysts have also released their forecasts for the release of the P70 series.
China Merchants Securities reported that Huawei has entered the stock preparation phase for the first quarter of the year. Minsheng Securities and Debon Securities predict that new Huawei models will be stocked by April.
While no official launch date has been set by Huawei, reports have revealed that the P70 will come with a few key upgrades. Similar to the Mate 60 series, it is rumored to be powered by the Kirin 9000 chipset.
The Mate 60 models featured the Kirin 9000S chipset with an 8-core and 12-thread CPU. Graphics were handled by Huawei’s MariSilicon X processor. It is possible that the P70 will get an upgraded version of this platform.
The display will be a 6.58/6.8-inch curved LTPO OLED with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Camera specs are also said to take a big step forward. Leaks revealed that there will be a 50 Megapixel quad camera. There will also be a 50 Megapixel selfie camera on the front.
