New competitors continue to emerge every day in the electric vehicle market. Especially in this market, which is dominated by Chinese companies as well as Tesla, Japanese origin Mazda also aims to expand its inventory. The Mazda6e, which was introduced by Mazda for the European market at the event held yesterday, seems to attract attention with its fully electric engine. Here are the details.
Mazda6e comes with two different battery options for the European market
The Mazda6e, which was featured at the Brussels Motor Show, is the latest electric model of the well-established car manufacturer. While the stylish design and originality we are used to in Mazda is also valid for this vehicle, it does not fall short in performance with its powerful engine.
According to the statements made, Mazda’s new electric model stands out as a coupe vehicle developed with Authentic Modern-themed design. While its simple and flowing lines indicate authenticity, there are small details on the front grille to capture the same form as electric vehicles. According to the statements, Mazda6e was developed in cooperation with Mazda and its 20-year partner Changan Automobile in China.
As for the battery, the vehicle is offered with two different battery options, 68.8 kWh and 80 kWh. While the first option offers a range of up to 479 kilometres on a single charge, it can be charged from 10 percent to 80 percent in 22 minutes thanks to its fast charging feature.
The package called Mazda6e Long Range offers a range of up to 552 kilometres with its larger battery. For both models, the acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h is stated as 8 seconds, while the maximum speed is announced as 175 km/h. The new Mazda will go on sale in Europe in 2025.
