6,000 mAh battery and 12 GB RAM: vivo Y50 5G design revealed

Key features of the vivo Y50 5G, which has been on the agenda for a while, have been revealed. So, what will the smartphone offer?

Shortly after introducing the Y19s GT 5G, vivo is now looking to expand its product lineup with the Y50 5G. The upcoming smartphone has reportedly passed a significant milestone ahead of its official launch.

The vivo Y50 5G will feature a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD display. The phone measures 167.30 x 76.95 x 8.19 mm and weighs approximately 209 grams. On the front, it houses a 5 MP selfie camera within a waterdrop notch. Around the back, there’s a single 13 MP camera supported by an LED flash.

Under the hood, the device will be powered by MediaTek’s 5G-capable Dimensity 6300 chipset. It will be available in four variants: 4+128 GB, 6+128 GB, 8+256 GB, and 12+256 GB. Storage can also be expanded via microSD support.

The handset will pack a large 6,000 mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. Pricing will start at $180, with the top-end model expected to cost around $320.

Color options for the vivo Y50 5G include Platinum, Azure, and Diamond Black. While the launch date hasn’t been officially confirmed, it’s rumored to be unveiled on July 18. Design-wise, the phone is expected to resemble vivo’s entry-level models, featuring a circular rear flash module and dual sensors, along with a front panel offering an average screen-to-body ratio.
